Navarino signs VAR agreement with JRC and Alphatron Marine

Jun 14, 2018 | Press Releases

JRC and Alphatron Marine are pleased to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Navarino for Inmarsat’s Global Xpress and FleetBroadband portfolio. With this official agreement made during the Posidonia exhibition, Navarino will be one of JRC’s Inmarsat Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners who are offering Inmarsat’s FleetXpress solution to their valuable customers.

“Navarino has worked with JRC for many years, and we are delighted to announce this agreement today,” said Andreas Dimitriadis, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Navarino Group. “As one of the leading manufacturers of satcom equipment, JRC’s products are a natural fit for us. Their pioneering approach and track record for reliability are well known throughout the industry and we are looking forwards to working ever more closely with them to together bring unique, innovative solutions to the maritime market.”

JRC is one of the world’s longest-established companies in the field of marine electronics and a pioneer in global mobile satellite communications as Inmarsat’s longest-serving manufacturing partner. The Fleet Xpress hybrid solution of JRC is based on the new Global Xpress Ka-band JUE-60GX backed by the L-band resilience FleetBroadband family JUE-251 or JUE-501.

“The signing of the distribution agreement is the logical result of both companies’ competencies” said Anna Marini, Sales Manager, JRC/Alphatron Marine EMEA division. “The JRC hardware platform with its renowned Japanese quality in Global Xpress and FleetBroadband antennas can support Navarino’s communications bundles and IT solutions to provide the best of both worlds for our JRC customers”.

The JUE-60GX antenna design has a monocoque structure, low centre of gravity and a demper free design which greatly assists in stable communication under harsh operating conditions. Both the JUE-251 and JUE-501 have been proven to be successful and reliable systems over the last years. Installation is quick and easy. With such lightweight antennas the vessel’s downtime is minimal as no crane is necessary for installation and the onboard setup can be done efficiently.

We are confident this agreement will enhance both JRC and Navarino’s portfolios of hardware and onboard IT-infrastructure, providing one of the best customer experiences and service on the market.
