After the summer wildfires that impacted several regions across Greece, the Navarino CSR team turned its attention to the brave crews who face the fires directly.
We contacted the 19th E.MO.D.E. special forest operations unit of the Hellenic Fire Service in Crete, which has been active in fighting almost every island wildfire of recent years, to see whether they needed any help with their equipment. As a result, the unit commander himself pointed out some critical kit needs which the teams could put to use immediately and which we were happy to help provide.
The Navarino CSR donation includes:
5 NATO-certified IFAK first aid backpacks, one for every team vehicle
2 pairs of specialised binoculars
We are very proud to collaborate with these outstanding teams of dedicated individuals and to assist in their work which plays such an important role to protect people and property every summer season.
