We are very proud to announce our collaboration with Ozellar Marine, as we help the company’s transition to a flexible, hybrid connectivity strategy across its growing fleet.

Ozellar Marine, which manages approximately 15 vessels, has deployed a combination of Fleet Xpress, Ku-band, and Starlink services, centrally managed through Navarino’s Infinity platform. The approach enables the company to optimize connectivity performance while maintaining full control over its onboard IT infrastructure.

‘At the core of our setup is the ability to manage everything independently,’ said Murtuza Shabbir, Assistant Technical Manager at Ozellar Marine. ‘With Infinity, we can monitor traffic, adjust policies, and roll out changes across the fleet quickly, without relying on external support.’

The company has leveraged this flexibility to enhance both operational efficiency and crew welfare. Following feedback from seafarers, Ozellar Marine recently revised its internet usage policies, using Infinity to introduce structured data allowances tailored to different ranks onboard which has improved accessibility while maintaining network performance.

Ozellar Marine has also begun evaluating Low Earth Orbit (LEO) services, including Starlink and OneWeb, to complement existing GEO-based connectivity. Early trials have demonstrated high-speed performance, while the company continues to assess regional coverage considerations.

‘We see connectivity as a hybrid mix of technologies rather than a single solution,’ added Shabbir. ‘The key is finding the right balance for each vessel and trading pattern.’

‘Navarino’s Infinity platform has played a central role in enabling this strategy, providing a reliable and scalable foundation for managing multi-band, multi-orbit communications.

Once the initial setup was complete, everything became seamless,’ said Shabbir. ‘The support from Navarino has been strong, and Infinity gives us the flexibility and the feature-rich toolset we need as our requirements evolve.’

Dip Gajjar, Navarino’s Account Manager for Ozellar Marine added ‘I am thrilled to be working closely with Mr Shabbir and Ozellar Marine on helping to enhance the technology used across their fleet. These kind of hybrid connectivity models are becoming more and more common in the maritime sector, and we are proud to provide ship operators with the tools to manage them exactly as they need to with our Infinity solution.’
