Maran Dry, Maran Gas and Maran Tankers, the three companies that comprise the Angelicoussis Group, will each be installing Navarino’s Angel solution across their fleet of 160 vessels. Type approved by both DNV and Bureau Veritas, Angel is the leading cyber security service designed specifically for maritime.
Its core component is Juniper’s Unified Threat Management platform which works through Infinity to separate business, IoT and crew traffic to provide separate, secure network traffic flows. This is all backed up by a team of security specialists dedicated to handling any security issues, based at Navarino’s Security Operations Centre.
Mr Efstratios F. Arvanitidis, ASGL’s ICT Manager, Fleet Division said ‘Since we have Infinity installed across our whole fleet, it made sense for us to choose Angel because of the ease of its deployment onto Infinity. We take cyber security very seriously and we are rolling out Angel now to give us an additional layer of protection that enables us to easily block unwanted traffic and use L7 application filtering. Our overall experience with Navarino has been very good – we have worked with them for many years and we know that they are a technology partner we can trust.’
Mr Andreas Dimitriadis, Navarino’s Director for Strategic Relations added ‘We are very proud of our partnership with the Angelicoussis Group and I am delighted that they have chosen Angel to help protect their fleet from the growing risk of cyber threats. As a fully managed service that also helps ship operators comply with IMO 2021 requirements, Angel is the ‘must-have’ cyber security tool for any maritime company looking to upgrade their vessels’ cyber security to the next level.’
