In early October, Navarino’s Corporate Social Responsibility Department initiated and implemented a series of four AED Use and First Aid Training programmes, sponsoring the specialist training organisation First Aid Training Athens. The programme was delivered through a series of targeted seminars:
- 16 October – World Heart Restart Day
Held at the Conference Room of Piraeus Municipal Theatre, a three-hour interactive seminar was attended by 20 members of the Piraeus schools’ management staff. Given their daily interaction with large numbers of people, the session focused on enhancing preparedness and practical response to medical emergencies. - Early November – Pylos
The training team travelled to Pylos to deliver a four-hour seminar to 10 members of the Ministry of Culture’s local staff who work at the site of the Palace of Nestor. As one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites, welcoming thousands of visitors annually, the importance of first aid readiness in this environment is paramount. - 11 December – Ermoupoli, Syros
At the Cultural Centre of Ermoupoli, 30 members of the Port Police and harbour personnel participated in a three-hour interactive seminar. This session built upon a similar Navarino-sponsored initiative delivered in 2023, further strengthening local emergency response capabilities. - Late December – Search and Rescue Unit
Ten members of the Search and Rescue Super Puma helicopter unit attended the seminar, updating training previously sponsored by Navarino in 2022. In addition, Navarino donated four NATO-certified First Aid Kits, specifically designed for onboard helicopter use.
Through these initiatives, Navarino continues to invest in education, preparedness, and community safety, reinforcing first aid training as a cornerstone of its CSR strategy.
